We pride ourselves on making the process to having your completed video a breeze, here is our 5 step process:

Reach out to make an enquiry and we will set up a time for a Discovery Call or Meeting (can be online or in-person, whichever you prefer).

At this Discovery Meeting we will discuss the video(s) you need, look at reference videos or other media and get an understanding of what you are looking to achieve.

From that meeting we can then assemble a fixed quote and will be in touch to discuss that along with some filming date suggestions, you can then make a decision on if you would like to proceed.

If you decide to proceed we will send through an deposit invoice to secure a filming date and may ask for any material you have that may be used to complete your video (eg logo, job site photos, etc).

Once the deposit invoice has been paid and any assets sent through, you can sit back, relax and let us handle the rest. We will show up on filming day, get all shots required and then edit the material, usually within two weeks then deliver a first draft of the edit for you to consider and all our pricing includes up to 2 rounds of changes.

What is the step-by-step process for getting a video made through Caldwell Entertainment?

If you'd like a rough quote for your project, please fill our or contact form 

 and provide us with a few key details and we will respond with a ballpark figure or a price range. If that is within your budget and you'd like a progress to a fixed quote, we can then have a Discovery Call or Meeting to discuss your project more in depth which will give us a better understanding of scope and requirements allowing us to come up with a final, fixed quote.

We tend to book out 2-3 weeks in advance, so we recommend, if possible, to contact us around 1 month before you are needing your new video production.

Absolutely, when it comes to scripting, most of our clients request we script their projects entirely, but some have their project already written before they even contact us, so we are happy to be involved as much or as little as you'd like. Regarding marketing it is very similar, smaller businesses tend to request our help more than larger ones (who may have their own marketing team or are with an ad agency) but we can certainly place your project on Social Media Platforms and assist with organic reach, we can also run post boosting and ad campaigns but these will incur additional costs.

Can you help with the scripting or marketing of the video?

From when you first contact us to when your latest video production is completed is typically a 5-8 week timeframe (but can be more or less depending on project complexity and how long approvals are taking). Broken down to an individual process level, here is what that generally looks like: 

Scripting (including revisions) & Approval: 1 week

Pre-Production (between Script Being Approved & Production/Filming): 2 weeks  

Post-Production (between Production & Project Completion): 2 weeks

What is the typical timeline for a video production?

Once full payment has been made, we transfer copyright to you. This is an important thing to check if you are considering other production companies as many do not do this and we have heard some horror stories of businesses being charged to use the footage for any other purpose or platform(s) than what was first discussed and completely unable to re-use parts of the work in other projects because put simply their video is not theirs, it’s owned by that production company they used. This is not how we operate. We believe that once a project has been fully paid for it is yours to use as you wish. We do just retain a license to use the work for our own marketing (eg in our showreels and on our website)

We work with the Industry Standard payment terms of 50% deposit and 50% upon completion. If your project is over $5,000 and requires more extensive processes (eg scripting or visual effects) we are open to negotiating an alternative arrangement.

Believe it or not, but many in our field aren't that creative, they are more interested in the technical aspects of filmmaking and while that is very important, it should never override storytelling which is present in all forms of content - from Social Media Videos to TV Commercials, Music Videos and everything in between.

Cutting Edge. We use the latest, proven tools. We were one of the first production companies in the world to shoot a feature film on DSLR cameras, were an early adopter for remote-controlled aircraft aerial filming before drones became popularised and are one of the few production companies in South-East Queensland to offer animation services (including 3D computer generated animation). We are not afraid to embrace technology in the pursuit of having a wider variety of tools enabling us to tell more diverse, interesting and engaging stories. 

Care. We genuinely care about everyone that works with us to create content. This is not demonstrated in a cheesy, showy way, but in practical benefits to our clients. We are happy to alter a script until you are satisfied with it, we provide up to two rounds of changes on the edit free of any additional charge. If you want to review a shot during production or sit with us in the edit, we are happy to facilitate those things. We understand how fundamental it is to the success of our business that people who are entrusting us to share their message themselves feel heard and valued.

We are a full-service video production company meaning we can look after every aspect of creating your next video. Many production companies just handle filming and editing, so if you're needing scripting or locations or talent, you will need to organise that yourself.
